LED lights are everywhere! They have become an unavoidable part of our everyday lives over the past couple of years? How and why? Well, even though they might not be of some real use (for example, led lights on your mouse or mousepad) on certain devices, they look pretty on all of them which is one of the main reasons for them becoming so popular in the first place. They make things look better, more expensive… and that is exactly what brings customers and sells products. Nothing different cannot be said about drones with LED lights either. While most of them have built-in LED lights for purely aesthetic purposes, others claim they are there because they allow night flight. Oh come on, you seriously think those dim LEDs can be seen from more than 20 meters into the air during night time? It’s just a marketing trick guys. A nice looking one for that matter. Nevertheless, if you are interested in buying a drone with built-in LED lights, take a closer look at the list down below where you can find 10 best models divided into many price ranges.

Under $200
MJX X400W
DBPOWER’s MJX X400W has exceeded everyone’s expectations when it got released. For just over $70 people were not expecting that much, but there’s no doubt that DBPOWER delivered an outstanding budget drone. It has a nice white frame with red finishing touches near the propellers, making for a rather minimalistic look that is quite easy on the eye. In addition to this, it is also compatible with VR headsets which is always a big plus, especially in this price range.
UDI 818A HD+
This drone with led lights has all it needs to be your new favorite backyard toy. Keep in mind that, for a little under $100, you are not exactly getting a premium drone. Despite that, the UDI 818A HD+ is packed with a decent quality 2Mp camera, 2.4 GHz controller, and a couple of useful extra features such as headless mode and one key return. It also comes with blade protecting the frame, which makes this drone safe even for young pilots, a.k.a. kids. All in all, it’s a great budget solution especially for beginners since it is really easy to fly.
JJRC H8D
JJRC H8D is most likely the best drone in this price range and not only when it comes to its LED lights. It sports a sturdy design with a beautiful red finish. Comes packed with a 5.8 Ghz FPV capable transmitter that is able to calibrate its gyro on the go. Its battery can hold for around 6 to 8 minutes and its FPV range goes up to 100 meters without any video stuttering. All things considered, it’s a great entry-level choice for everyone interested in drones and night flights.
$200 to $400
XIRO Xplorer G
XIRO is known for manufacturing unique looking drones and nothing different can be said about their newest model – the Xplorer G version. It’s a great looking drone with a matte black finish with 4 bright LEDs right next to its propellers. The biggest con of this drone is the fact that it does not come with a camera. Truth be told, it compensates for that with its outstanding 3-axis motorized gimbal which supports GoPro action cameras. For the price of $349, you won’t find a better drone with LED lights and so many useful features like the XIRO Xplorer G has.
$400 to $600
Ehang GHOSTDRONE 2.0
This drone has outstanding specifications for its price range. Its controller is able to work without any lag for up to 1000 meters, which is just AMAZING considering its price. But that’s not where the praise ends – it is packed with a 4K sports camera (also an admirable feature at this price range) capable of recording videos in 4K@24FPS. To top it all off, it is able to fly for cca 25 minutes and takes only 1.5 hours to fully charge.
Hubsan H109S X4 Pro
This list could not finish without this amazing piece of flying tech gadgetry. It is, of course, one of Hubsan’s top tier models featuring brushless motors and a 5.8 Ghz connection. It’s packed with a full HD camera capable of providing you with FPV live feed. GPS, 1-axis gimbal, headless mode, altitude hold, follow me and one key return or some of many available functions this drone has to offer. Oh, I almost forgot to add that it has extremely bright LED strips underneath the mainframe that provide enough light for those 3am flights.

Parrot Bebop
Drones with LED lights
Bebop was the first flagship drone manufactured by Parrot. With a unique design and powerful specifications, it quickly has gotten to the point of being one of the top-selling drones on Amazon. With lots of satisfied customers praising its quality, there is a lot of good things to be added regarding it. For example, the standard price tag of $449 will get you not only the drone but a Sky Controller as well. What this controller does is drastically extend the range of your drone by up to 2 kilometers over its dedicated WiFi connection. Among many other amazing features, Parrot Bebop sports a 14MP full HD fisheye camera and 3-axis image stabilization. It’s able to shoot videos in a 180 degrees angle which is bound to make up for some top quality aerial panorama shots. Keep in mind that for the roughly same price you can get the Bebop 2, an upgraded version of this drone, but without the Sky Controller. In other words, if you are planning on using your drone across an extended range, it might be a good option to purchase it together with its dedicated controller. Flying it via your smartphone or tablets might be enjoyable at first, but the Sky Controller is where the fun starts at.
3DR Solo
3DR Solo
If you want to buy a proper smart drone then this one might be the one for you. It is marketed as the smartest drone on the market due to the fact that it runs on two 1Ghz computers. One of them is inside the drone and another one in its dedicated controller. They operate via a dedicated WiFi signal which helps it achieve up to 500 meters of lag free control range. It features 4 LED lights underneath each of its propellers. They work as battery indicators as well as night lights which tends to be rather convenient. Despite not coming with an action camera, it offers a gimbal solution and a built-in HDMI port for live video feed in HD. All things considered, it is quite clear that 3DR’s Solo is a good choice for beginners and more experienced pilots alike.
Autel Robotics X-Star Premium
Autel Robotics does not mess around when it comes to creating top notch drones, and that is quite an obvious statement. Especially considering the quality of their newest flagship model, the X-Star Premium. It is a beautifully looking drone with a whole bunch of great features and specifications that confirm it’s quite expensive price tag. It comes packed with an outstanding 4K camera mounted on a 3-axis gimbal, which is FPV compatible up to 2 kilometers’ range. It is equipped with both GPS and GLONASS on top of a whole bunch of other features that make it among the best drones currently available on the market.
Over $1000
Blade Chroma
Chroma is surely one of the most anticipated drones to hit the market. With its sleek white look accompanied by 4 very bright LEDs, it will turn quite a few heads in its direction once you start flying it around your neighborhood. It is capable of flying for more than 25 minutes and has a 3-axis gimbal on which you can mount your GoPro (sold separately). Combine this with its SMART modes for beginner pilots, one key home return, adjustable flight boundaries and tracking modes and you got yourself a smart drone capable of doing crazy things once you get a proper hold of it.
DJI Phantom 4
This “Everything you need kit” includes a bunch of accessories such as 3 extra batteries, 2 64GB Micro SDXC cards, convenient strap carry system, snap on guards, SD card reader, cleaning cloth and many more. In addition to all those accessories, you’ll get a brand new DJI Phantom 4 (who would have guessed eh?) with a 4K action camera that is able to record 4K videos @30FPS. In addition to that, it can also shoot slow-motion videos in 120 FPS at full HD resolution which is just amazing. When it comes to special features, Phantom 4 includes a visual tracking system, vision positioning systems, optical sensors and many more. It includes all the standard modes and, of course, has extremely bright LEDs for those night flights.
DJI T600 Inspire 1
And finally, the most expensive drone with LED lights is the DJI T600 Inspire 1. It’s one of the newer DJI’s models that has quite a high price tag of $2000. For this price, it comes together with a 4K action camera and a modern looking controller. It’s camera is capable of providing you with real-time HD (720p) feed but only via your smartphone or tablet (don’t worry, it supports both Android and iOS devices) as the controller doesn’t come with a dedicated LCD/LED screen which is commonly seen on other models. When it comes to the range, you will be happy to know that DJI T600 Inspire 1 is able to achieve almost 2.5 kilometers which is outstanding, especially considering you’ll get a live feed covering the entire distance. When it comes to its battery, it is able to achieve about 20 minutes of flight time. That’s not too bad actually because this time was measured with the camera recording a video and providing a live feed. All in all, DJI made another serious drone that has been getting a lot of attention recently. Despite having a quite luxurious price tag, it’s still the first choice of many (satisfied) customers who are enjoying it partially because of its superior aerial recording platform abilities and partially because it is just… FUN!
